In a bid to jazz up the offerings for smartphones, US-based Adobe Systems is all set to bring its Flash technology on to the mobile platform.

While addressing the Adobe’s MAX Conference 2008, Adobe’s CTO Kevin Lynch stated that the company has poured a significant amount of time and efforts in bringing its Flash technology to mobile devices, and it is now in the process of developing full-fledged Flash Player 10 for advanced smart phones.

He said in a statement, “We are midst of evolving Flash Player 10 for mobile, and we're taking the full Flash Player and making that run on the higher end of the mobile market”.

The company has demonstrated its Flash Player 10 on mobile devices powered by Microsoft’s Windows Mobile, Google’s Android operating system, and Nokia’s Symbian platform; however, Apple’s iPhone users need to wait for some time to see Flash Player 10 on their handsets.

Meanwhile, Adobe has also released the public beta version of its CoCoMo, a hosting service which would help developers in integrating VoIP, video conferencing, and other such collaborative features to the applications designed with its Flex developer tools.

In addition, the company has also announced a couple of supporting applications for Flash technology, including Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder, and an all new version of Adobe AIR.
