Like its Mercedes-Benz counterpart, there are quite a few features that set the SL500 apart from the traditional laptop.
For one, it comes with a 15.4-inch LED backlit display which means a better lit screen with an improved battery life. There's also an integrated webcam, which is great for video conferencing.
Lenovo has architectured the laptop around a powerful Core 2 Duo processor from Intel, the T5670, which runs at 1.8GHz and is flanked by 2GB of memory and a 160GB HDD.
As a complement to the ultimate road warrior, the SL500 also has an inbuilt mobile broadband from Vodafone with a 30-day trial, after which you will have to fork extra, as well as Wireless LAN (up to 802.11n).
Security is assured thanks to a TPM-enabled Fingerprint solution plus a one year warranty.
The package is completed by the presence of Microsoft's Windows Vista Business which can be downgraded to XP Professional if needed.
