According to Sophos, an IT security firm, hackers have made their way to the official website of Sony's PlayStation.

It was found that an unauthorized code was pasted on some pages of the site including SingStar Pop and God of War.

This code spreads rumours that the systems of those visiting the site, have been infected with several kinds of malware, to scare and compel them to buy a fake security products.

A senior technology consultant at Sophos, emphasised that a high profile websites like PlayStation, that witnesses a huge traffic should make necessary provisions to control hackers from injecting detrimental codes on the legitimate web pages.

Reports revealed that this is not the first time when PlayStation has become a target of hackers, as some time back in the month of March, some unauthorized users had hacked personal data that was available on PlayStation Store Accounts.
